Cell Apoptosis
Apoptosis is a complex and active death, involving the activation, expression and regulation of a series of genes. When apoptosis occurs, a series of apoptotic processes are programmed, such as phosphatidylserines valgus outside of the cell membrane, mitochondrial membrane ΔΨm changes, caspase activation, DNA fragmentation and so on. Abnormal apoptotic mechanism can cause cells to lose control, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of many diseases such as tumors. Accurate detection of apoptotic cells is essential in the apoptosis study. Pricella has successfully developed Annexin V Detection Kits and TUNEL Assay Kits based on the most commonly used principles.
TUNEL Assay Kits
An important feature of the late stage of apoptosis is DNA fragmentation, and the exposed 3'-OH of the fragmented DNA can be catalyzed by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT) to bind to fluorochrome-labeled dUTP, which can be visualized by fluorescence microscopy . This method is also known as One-step method (higher detection sensitivity, more intuitive results, and easier experimental results to be published in SCI articles).
Advantages of TUNEL Assay Kits
- Multiple choices: A variety of fluorescent dyes (FITC/ Elab Fluor® 488/ Elab Fluor® 594/ Elab Fluor® 647/ Elab Fluor® 555) kits are available
- Easy to operate: One-step dyeing, saving time and effort
- Safe and non-toxic: No dimethyl arsenate, non-toxic and harmless to people and the environment
- Cost-effective: The key components are self-developed with more stable quality, and more cost-effective price
- Wide range of applications: Suitable for a variety of tissue sample (paraffin section, frozen section) and cells sample (cell slide)

Annexin V Assay Kits
Apoptosis occurs like a signaling cascade of multiple events, providing many opportunities to evaluate the process. During the early stage of apoptosis, the loss of cell membrane asymmetry will take place in which embedded phosphatidylserine (PS) residues in the plasma membrane become externalized. Annexin V is a Ca2+ dependent phospholipid-binding protein that has a high affinity for PS. Flow assays based on Annexin V conjugates accordingly become sensitive quantitative detection of early apoptosis.

Advantages of Annexin V Apoptosis Detection Kits
- Quick & Simple Operation: Only 15-20 min hand-on time
- Easy to operate: One-step dyeing, saving time and effort
- Strict QC: Developed in house, traceable and reliable quality
- Professional Technical Support: Quick responses and professional assay suggestions
